About

A small note about myself. I am a wife and a mother to three amazing kids as well as two beautiful daughter-in-laws! I love anything outdoors with my family. I especially enjoy hiking, kayaking, biking, photography, and cooking. I also love having my two dogs by my side. I recently moved to the Houston area. I have enjoyed getting to know the friendly Houstonians, exploring restaurants as well as new things to do and explore!

After struggling with a traumatic event in my life I searched for a way to heal. I started to work with a therapist and incorporating lifestyle changes and I found myself moving towards peace and calm. I was finally sleeping again and not as overwhelmed with memories or what-if scenarios. Through this process, I discovered that it is essential to find a counselor who understands me. I was fortunate to find an amazing counselor who gave me the space to heal. With the healing that I discovered, I knew I wanted to help others as well. I decided to pursue an education to prepare myself to help others heal as well.

Through my journey to become a counselor, I completed a Bachelor’s in Family Studies from Brigham Young University. Then came my Masters in Mental health counseling from Indiana University. I have been fortunate to attend trainings in EMDR and Brainspotting. I love to continue to learn and read on different subjects to gain more insight into my clients.

I am committed to helping individuals in their journey of healing and growth. My work focuses on clearing out previous trauma, navigating grief, as well as empowering clients to become what they want to become.  I believe in working together with clients to find each individuals sources of wellness.

I’m passionate about mental health, in my own journey as well as supporting others. If you’re interested in a free consultation with me, please contact me for a 15-20 minute free consultation.

I am currently supervised by Diana Walla M.S., LPC-S, LMFT-S
