“When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth, you are weeping for that which has been your delight.“ — Kahlil Gibran
Loss and grief are heavy and difficult subjects in life. So, when we have loved deeply it takes time as well as some help along the way. Think of a loss as any time when you’ve said goodbye to something. This might includes relationships, houses, communities, jobs, school, dreams, your innocence, or your children moving to the next phase of life. Healing as well as a sense of peace and calm can come with the ability to cherish the memories.
If you have been hoping to check the boxes to get through grief, you might feel frustrated. You are not alone! Grief isn’t predictable and is unique to the situation as well as the griever. Sometimes you think – they have moved on, why can’t I?
